FAULTMATE MSV - Diagnostic System

The Faultmate MSV Vehicle Server is the latest exciting development in affordable, accessible and accurate vehicle diagnostics. It can communicate with any particular ECU on the vehicle using individual software modules i.e., one module for each vehicle ECU. These modules are stored in the massive 1GB flash memory on the Vehicle Server and can be updated from your PC using the provided Vehicle Server software management utility.

Although any given vehicle may have a number of on-board ECU systems with built in diagnostic capability and therefore require the use of several of the Vehicle Server’s software modules, to help reduce the cost of purchase it is possible to purchase licences to use only the software modules you require.

This means that you do not need to buy a licence to use any software modules which you do not currently need.

So you can start your system off by just purchasing the MSV hardware with a licence for just one software module to help you sort out an existing problem, or purchase the licences in any combination or selection of the available software modules - specifically:

Software Modules for Vehicle ECU Systems can be purchased individually to use on Multiple Vehicles (MV) or in specific Single Vehicle packages (SV)

Single Vehicle Diagnostics - A very special concept allowing access to every single ECU system fitted to any given vehicle at a much lower cost than purchasing the licences for the equivalent selection of the standard (Multiple Vehicle) software modules. In effect you buy one licence for a given vehicle model, and for the price you receive a licence for all the applicable software modules identified for your specific vehicle. However, part of the MSV system ID then becomes registered in Single Vehicle use mode, so although the software modules used are exactly the same, when used they will store specific information that will only ever allow them to work on that specific, single vehicle.
